After 4 years of literally resurrecting the Nazi party, death camps and secret police...  after running us down in vehicular homicide...  Pointing assault weapons at us...  Shooting us dead...  Beating us bloody... Infiltrating our police forces and shooting more of us dead...  Making our laws meaningless...  Tossing away every responsibility our government was entrusted with...  Appointing incompetents in every level of government agency and our legal system...  Destroying our diplomatic relations and embracing tyrants and despots...  Embracing crimes against humanity and genocide... Denouncing veterans on one hand while puppeting them about for your own jingo-istic propaganda...  Engaging and carrying out the will of foreign powers... Stealing everything that wasn't nailed down for yourselves and your corporate abettors... Destroying hard won health care for millions...  Ignoring a plague that's left more than a quarter of a million American corpses...  Weaponizing that ignorance against democratic cities...  Ignoring massive ecological disasters and letting our west coast burn because it suited you... Literally wearing shirts that said 'Fuck your feelings' after the theft of the 2016 general election...  Encouraging hatred and trying to craft laws that exclude or discriminate against minorities, women and LGBTQ folks...  Literally trying to destroy the post office so that the votes that are doing in your Idiot Fuhrer Wannabe couldn't come through...  Stole two Supreme Court seats and made a mockery of SCOTUS by placing a rapist and an unqualified fundamentalist puppet on the bench... Setting family vs. family and blood against blood... insulting us.... deriding us... degrading us... humiliating us... oppressing us... persecuting us... dividing us...  terrifying us...  endangering us...  Taking the very definition of callous and hateful disregard to never before seen extremes of horrible behaviour...

You've had the last 50 years to recant your hatreds and join us in moving the human race forward and saving the world.  You spent it all RIGHT UP until a few days ago 'owning the libs and cucks', confident your moron con-man would continue to legislate your dogma and bigotry into actionable law; or at the very least, pardon your crimes or continue not to prosecute you for them.  Your mantra was 'fuck your feelings' right up until we showed you our feelings mattered, and were more potent than your deceit, trickery and treason.  And now that it turns out that all the spiteful, hateful bluster that you've heaped on our backs while waving your guns about was your collective stupidity writing checks it couldn't cash in the end or the first place?  NOW you show us your belly and wheedle for civility?  Now you have the audacity-filled balls to ask for mercy?

Biden would have us believe that he's listened to the concerns of progressives. And that the Overton window has been shifted a bit to the left to woo those voters after the DNC cheated him into the nomination. And I will say, some of it looks attractive. Him floating Republicans for his cabinet who voted lockstep with the fascists, or people who disenfranchised workers is very much not.

I don't envy the fellow. I wouldn't have envied Bernie either. They will inherit a country literally on fire. We've been divided against ourselves so very badly that Lincoln's proverbial house is on the verge of being unable to stand. And our government has literally been buckshot full of fascist abettors, supremacists and fundamentalists.

The country is this close to a civil war/fascist coup, and that's not even getting into the time between when the polls close and Biden takes office. North Carolina, where I feel I've been trapped again for the last 20 years, was a test run for the kind of scorched and salted earth campaign the GOP will launch as soon as things go south for the creature in the White House. When Gov. Cooper took office, the GOP did every last thing they could to keep him from actually TAKING office, or appointing his staff, or being able to do his job at all. It didn't help that they'd held onto their state assembly majority in 2016 until 2018. They were overturning Cooper's vetos whenever they could and doing their damnedest to make sure the election boards were rigged enough to stay in power and outlast him.

Now imagine that kind of resistance writ large across the entire country by an actual incompetent Nazi super-criminal being underwritten by hostile powers, and that's our upcoming Christmas season and winter. In the middle of an actual quarter of a million people dead plague situation.

And Biden's considering Republicans for his cabinet in the name of fellating bipartisanship? He was there for all 8 years of Mr. Obama's presidency one would assume. Even Barry realized after his first term that the GOP were in no way interested in bipartisanship and started ramming stuff through where he could without their permission or support. Moscow Mitch was even then spouting how the first and only concern of the GOP was to sabotage and bring down the Democratic presidency. And that was 4 to 8 extremely divisive years ago. At which point did Biden come to believe that reaching across the aisle again is going to result in anything but pulling back a bloody stump? Unless he's not been paying attention, you have to believe that kind of thinking is dangerously naive. One would hope the fellow's got someone telling him the fact of this, cos right now this avuncular shit's gonna get him creamed once he's in office.

So the linked article here from Huffpost very much gets into the fact that once he takes office, his ex-lawyerly, 90's crime bill authoring, for-profit prison enabling, black enslaving, feudalism introducing ass needs to have his feet very much held to the fire to see that he makes good on his promises and doesn't go all wishy-washy on the abettors of our current president. And he needs to realize as well that if he pulls a Gerald Ford on us by pardoning the outgoing president of his high crimes and crimes against humanity, he will lose immediately any electoral capital he will have gained in his ascending to the presidency. Examples of the fascists and supremacists MUST be made. And they must be made so very aggressively that we stand a chance of crushing the head of this poisonous Neo-nazi social meme for good this time. There will be a salted earth campaign on the part of the outgoing GOP. But there must immediately be a bloodbath in every level of government afterwards. A purge to root out the terrorist crime syndicate that has replaced our system of laws.

LIke I said... I don't envy the guy. He's got his work cut out for him. I hope it's the work he wanted to do in office. The next administration doesn't just get to sit back on its heels and push a return to some non-existent peaceful norm. There is no more peaceful norm. The illusion of it is all that has been ripped away. The exposure of the endemic problems in our system of government, laws, and how they are enforced for the 1% as opposed to the 99% is now self-evident. Active and aggressive steps must be immediately taken when Biden takes office. I've a few suggestions...

1. The immediate arrest and imprisonment of the Trump Family for high crimes, and crimes against humanity before they are able to flee to their foreign sponsors and paymasters.

2. The immediate creation of an FBI/CIA task force to investigate, interrogate, and bring to trial the members of the previous administration's cabinet and key members of the senate and house of representatives for treason and election interference, as well as the numerous other crimes that have been kept track of over the last 4 years.

3. An immediate executive order nullifying every executive order made by Donald J Trump since January 2016.

4. The declaration of a state of emergency, and the immediate creation of enforced lock-down conditions to contain and eliminate the Novel Corona-virus (c-19) through the creation of a vaccine, including the nationalization of pharmaceutical corporations to bring this about until the crisis is brought to a conclusion. Along with this must come a sustained relief package to help the American citizenry until such time as it can be safe to return to a more social standing. And this standing must be determined by the center for disease control, not pressure from the business community. There must be a federal ban on eviction and disconnection of basic services until such time as the infection and casualty curve has not only ceased to climb, but significantly dropped to levels prior to February of 2020.

5. The immediate closure and elimination of border concentration camps, as well as the arrest and trial of those complicit in committing crimes against humanity / genocidal crimes as defined by the United Nations at our southern borders. As well, there must be a formation of a task force to re-unite kidnapped children with their families separated at our border. And finally the immediate elimination and re-organization of our current border patrol, who for the moment are nothing but a reactionary extralegal gestapo force for the current administration. As well, the ICE must be eliminated.

6. The immediate deployment of the national guard and other emergency services to the state of California to address the ongoing ecological disaster threatening life, limb and property there.

7. The immediate declaration of the Ku Klux Klan, Proud Boys and White Supremacist groups as domestic terror groups. And that they be prosecuted under the auspices of the PATRIOT act until such time as that act can be allowed to expire.

8. A commission into the removal of Amy Coney Barrett from the Supreme Court of the United States as she was confirmed in violation of senate regulations by Mitch McConnell. If she is allowed to stand, then the immediate removal of Neil Gorsuch must occur, whose nomination was the result of irregular and hypocritical senatorial interference with the nomination of Merrick Garland. As well, a commission or task force must be formed to evaluate, dismiss and replace over 200 partisan judges appointed by the Trump Administration regarding their fitness or competence to continue on the benches they occupy. Barring this, assuming they can get the seats in congress, the number of judges on the supreme court must be expanded to a newer more representative odd number like 15. There must also be substantive and actual investigation of Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Roberts' alleged sexual assaults upon their victims, as well as the proper prosecution thereof.

9. The immediate replacement of incompetent governmental department heads who were obviously appointed to destroy the agencies over which they preside by the Trump Administration, and the proper appointment of competent administrators of those government departments.

10. The immediate cease of sales of military materiel to police forces around the country, and the repossession of said materiel from those police forces. This would be alongside a federal task force to root out and eliminate White Supremacist collaborators in our nation's police forces as domestic terrorists.

And that's just to START with in the first few months of any Biden presidency. The first order of the Biden administration is to immediately start trying to put out the out of control dumpster fire our government has been reduced to. It sounds draconian to me when I'm typing it, honestly. But we are at the level of needing to take drastic action to save our people, our country and the world around it. The emergencies are legion. And there is no time to waste on not addressing any of them. It needs to be swift, decisive, and not cut with avuncular namby-pamby overtures towards the illusion of bipartisanship when all that got us was a third of the country openly embracing a fascist nazi coup in the end.

The gloves must come off, and a top to bottom purge and re-organization needs to occur. And it needed to occur 12 years ago when Biden first became VP for Barry after the Bush II administration and their sycophantic deferment to the rise of the Tea Party. The lessons taught to us all since then by the successive disasters that followed should be all Biden needs to do what needs to be done. Any other reaction makes him a waste of space and effort.

 

The Necessary Solution to Uncivilized Politcal Debate Formats

So we've had two general election 'debates' thus far, and we've less than a month to vote out the fascist and all his abettors.  I'd rather have seen Sanders eviscerate the old nazi instead of an avuncular oligarch.  But there we are.  I did not watch the debates, because I've already voted, and honestly, I don't hate myself that much.  But the one thing in common I'm hearing in most news reports is that the president, likely hopped up on who knows what managed to bleat and interrupt without let, despite the rules, and apparently his diminishing capacity to breathe.  And while that capacity isn't diminishing fast enough for this kid, I still wonder at it.

I suppose it has to be in order to create who knows how much sensationalized drama that's good for ratings and click-throughs that bad actors are allowed to interrupt and ignore any debate's format.  A bit like some Karen or Kevin bellowing through any argument about their privilege, or their right to spread plague, or the contents of their latte; only with a security clearance and access to nuclear codes.  But I'm thinking to myself it surely doesn't serve the public trust or interest.  

The point is to hear these peoples' thoughts and strategies on the issues at hand.  And when it degenerates into incoherent tantrum or corporate businessbro style mansplaining and condescension when it's the other person's turn, we're all cheated of valuable information we need.  Not that the current election is much of a difficult decision.  The whole Nazis vs. All of us really hasn't been this much of a morally clear decision since Pearl Harbor or the Invasion of Normandy.

And I have to wonder who else is having the same thought as me.

These politicians do not own our airwaves.  Those are ours.  They belong to us.  They've been invited onto those airwaves and into our homes.  Once this was understood. Politicians would actually THANK the public for allowing them into their homes this way, back in the day that the GOP would allegedly have us believe they want to take our mores back to.  (You know.  Back when DDT was safe, and you could hang people without that messy business of getting arrested for it.)  Now the candidates and politicians seem to think they've a right to your senses and to shout whatever propaganda they feel like shovelling.  

I mean at first I thought, 'Make this part of the debate format.  Let them know that should they go over their alotted time, that their mike will be muted.  You know.  Like they do in congressional hearings and  state assemblies who don't want to let a citizen speak.'  But even that is conceding a little too much, strategically.  And if you make it the pol's decision to shut up or get muted, then they have the argument, "The mean old media shut down my god given right to trample the rules and lie my ass off.  Jail for the moderator!  Jail for a thousand years!"

So you don't even give them that choice.

How hard is that?  Apparently too hard since if the President doesn't have a chance to directly infect his challenger with a lethal disease, he's 'not going to waste his time' with a virtual debate.  The former vice-president DID get ceded all the time slotted, and will do a town hall on ABC instead.  The criminal in the white house responded by allegedly scheduling his own town hall.  So we don't get any more debates.  We instead get two different flavors of a propaganda show each.  In the one that was cancelled, voters would apparently have got to ask questions.  The president appears to have opted for a virtual rally on NBC instead.  Cause nothing says power, strength and bravery than ducking hard questions, chickening out of an actual debate and relaxing into a comfortable Nazi rally like a hog in the mud.

Perhaps if we've all been good enough this year, and clap our hands hard enough, attrition will take care of matters for us.

Passive Genocide, and the Horror of 80 Seconds

 

    I want you to think about the little things you do during the day.  You  listen to a song.  That's 3 or 4 minutes, right?  Maybe you saw a little  thing on YouTube that didn't take that long, so you shared it socially  and put a little half paragraph on the post as a signature.  Maybe you  got up and got a sandwich and something to drink.  Maybe you went out  for a smoke.  Or maybe you had to do the bathroom.  There's stuff like  that all over the footprint of your day.  2 to 5 minute chunks of your  life.  You don't begrudge it.  There's stuff you wanted.  Stuff you  needed.  Stuff you had to do.  That's life, right?

    Now consider  the idea that every time you did that, someone died of a pathogen or  plague that a terrorist or foreign power released into your country.  Or  if we want to make the idea a little bit more visceral, picture someone  with an assault rifle being allowed to roam freely through the streets  of a major city.  He's got a stopwatch on a lanyard round his neck.  And  every time it counts 80 seconds and beeps, he aims at a random person  and shoots them dead.  Doesn't matter who.  It could be that old person  crossing the crosswalk.  It could be that parent holding their kid's hand  as they come out of a building.  It could be a loved one who happened to be  in town on an errand.  No reprieve.  No assistance from anyone in  authority.  No one's doing anything to stop him.

    Bang.  Dead.

    Hold  that thought for a moment.  Picture the blood and brains on the pavement.  Take a  good long steamy gawk at what's left of that person as their murderer  walks in the general direction of that way.  He's already resetting his  stopwatch for the next kill.  He could be on a walk in the park.   There's a smile on his face.  No one can touch him.  A third of the  people around you shrug, as if resigned to it.  Some of them cheer the  shooter on, hoping he'll shoot some ethnicity they personally hate.  The rest duck for cover and pray it won't be them or someone they love next.

    This, in an extroverted way, is happening already.

    I was going through my newsfeeds this morning and caught a piece from  MSN.  They talked about how other countries in the world are breathing  free.  They're still wearing masks cos the threat isn't over yet.    In  much of the civilized world, they're on the other side of the bell curve  as far as the COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus.  They can go out of their houses  and be reasonably sure they're not playing Russian roulette with the  real world equivalent of Stephen King's lethal superflu from The Stand,  AKA, 'Captain Trips'.

    Here, our President is hawking quack cures, advising people poison themselves with bleach, putting the opinions of  religious nutjobs into a false equivalency with the scientific method  and putting the stock market ahead of his citizenry's life and limb.   Nineteen years ago, we went to endless war against a self-manufactured  enemy.  The official line was that it was in retaliation for the  two-thousand plus lives that were cut short when the World Trade Center  was struck down in the heart of New York City by two hijacked passenger  jets.

    We've nearly lost one-hundred times that in the last  year to a plague allowed to run riot by a psychotic moron and his atrocity of self-serving abettors.

    One-hundred times that.

    And every 80 seconds, on average, another American citizen dies of it.

    You've  probably got a tab open in your browser on YouTube right now.  Have a  look at the last thing you watched.  Divide its length by 80 seconds.   How many people were effectively murdered by biological proxy in the  time it took you to watch it?  Looking over in my browser, there's Fleetwood Mac's 'Rhiannon'.  Three minutes, forty-eight seconds.

    That's nearly three people murdered by malicious negligence and incompetence.

    Were  this a shooter, the news cycle would be all over it.  That's a  different grim cycle.  Gunfire, dead people, public mourning,  anti-assault rifle outcry, demands for justice, political deflection on  behalf of the gun-lobby, gunfire, rinse and repeat.  The memes would be  all over your own newsfeeds and homepages.  Talking heads would point  their fingers.  People would cradle their beloved dead.  Stories of  heroes would be made if some brave person lost their life taking down  the killer.  If it were a disaster, maybe a movie or biopic  would get made.  

    Can you imagine the response if some terrorist  organization's nightmare scenario played out and some bastard of an explosive went off and killed everyone at the Super Bowl; how  absolutely insane our country would go if someone killed more than two-hundred  thousand of our countrymen in a single instance?  We're getting into historical numbers here.  Numbers people say in the same sentence with adages like 'Never again'.  The first time an atomic bomb was used to actually kill people in Hiroshima, the estimated toll was between ninety  and one-hundred and fifty thousand people.  

    Covid-19 has now killed more people than that in the United States.   As a matter of fact, the novel coronavirus has now killed more twice  the number of Americans killed in every war and armed conflict our  country has fought since World War II ended in 1945.  That would include both the Vietnam and the Korean wars, as well as all our endless middle  eastern wars since the first Bush administration in the early 1990's.   Do you remember when you watched 'M*A*S*H*' or 'Platoon' or 'Born in the USA' and how  those wars were presented to you; how they were shown to you baldfaced  with none of the horror restrained?  Do you remember how those conflicts were described as 'meat-grinders' that our youth were fed into?  Do you remember the protests and the widespread schism  that put family against one another in revulsion of the violence and the  mounting avalanche of the dead?

    Covid-19 has killed twice that now.  This conflict is on our own soil.  And it's killing civilians.

    In the midst of this plague, our president downplayed the threat deliberately.  He allowed it to spread.  On the advice of his  son-in-law, they purposely let it spread in the hopes that infection rates would stunt voter turnout in democratic-controlled states.  They literally weaponized a plague in the hopes it would kill a large number  of the ideological opposition.  They ran the numbers... or maybe they  didn't even do that.  They did their equivalent of thinking about it.   They considered (or maybe they didn't) the death toll, as well as how  many of their own supporters this plague might also kill.  And you know?  They were alright with that.  As long as their White House stooge  kept the aegis of the presidency, he couldn't be thrown in prison for  crimes against humanity, right?  What's a few tens of thousands of low  income people anyway?  After all, it's not like they're contributing to  the re-election campaign.

    This  is what you call passive genocide.  The current regime just happened to luck into a  plague to do their dirty work for them.  Oligarchs don't like to get  their hands dirty.  So just as they were getting their concentration camps up and running, (which are still running, by the way) they found  they didn't need to quite fire up the ovens or activate the worst of DHS  and the Border Patrol SS.  The plague would take care of it for them.   They'd just need to remember to invest in the insurance and healthcare industry and let them jack up prices.  They're fine with a win-lose  situation, as long as they're winning.

    There's  monuments to the honored dead in our military conflicts.  I've been to and touched some of them.  I've felt with my own hands the groove of the  fifty-eight thousand odd names etched into the black marble wall of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC.  It's a soul-interrupting experience seeing yourself reflected in that mirror-polished stone where people still leave flowers and gifts fifty years later.  Stipends are paid to the families who  survived our soldiers slain in combat; buried with honors in Arlington.   There's more monuments too; to the survivors of natural disasters, or any number of horrors visited on our 'minorities' and indigenous peoples.  The victims are remembered with reverence and sadness.  We talk about the horrors of war and fascist despots responsible for these atrocities with  visceral horror and disgust.

    Except, I guess, when we elect them.  

    Even  now, a third of the Republican caucus is working the right-wing ratchet  effect.  They're hemming and hawing about how NOW there's no money to help the citizenry.  There was a horrifying gallows humor joke about how we've been  left to fend for ourselves that I saw.  About how 'for just six dollars a  day, you too can sponsor an American.'  Like the Sally Struthers C.A.R.E. commercials of old.  Hell, Sarah McLaughlan saw that post and offered to provide a soundtrack if the original poster needed it.

    No money?  It was only after blowing a four-trillion dollar hole in our country's economy to bail out the companies the fascists hold stock in (unless they dumped it with insider knowledge they can't be  prosecuted for), that the rest of the country got twelve-hundred bucks each...  maybe...  If you qualified for it...  Cos they're not doing shit about our healthcare crisis.  'So try not to catch the plague.' they tell us.  You know, unless your kids come home from  school with it this fall, which they're still trying to re-open.  Kids aren't really known for spreading transmissible diseases, right?  The  government wouldn't do that to YOU.  That kind of thing?  You're thinking  blankets dipped in cholera more than a century or two ago.

    Except you're not.

    They're  sending you out to work.  They've stripped you of any of the  protections you'd normally have in an emergency situation like this where your income or job might be protected.  They've left you no alternative.  They're sending your kids out to school so you can return to work.  They want their bottom line worked.  And your countrymen are dying to the tune of one per eighty seconds from an airborne transmissable disease that you won't have symptoms of WHILE you're  contagious.  But it will certainly wreck your body or kill you in a  couple of weeks.  Their supporters are wandering around bitching  about how masks are a threat to their freedoms.  They're walking around  with masks half-on with their noses poking out.  If they wear them at  all.  If they had their sex-organs out, they'd be arrested immediately.   But being a walking plague-vector?  They're fine with that.  Hell, you  might be someone they want dead anyway.

Do you get it yet?  Are you angry yet?  Are you voting yet?   Have you asked for your absentee ballot yet?  Are you considering the survival of yourself and your loved ones yet?  This is not just a plague situation.  Do you honestly believe our current administration, who are  right now campaigning NOT to help you in the Senate are going to  suddenly give a damn about you if they're somehow able to steal the general election?  Have they been what you'd call a caring and  compassionate administration up til now?  No?  Okay... here's an easier one.   Have they been what you'd call honest, or competent?  Still too high a  bar?  Have they actually been shooting and kidnapping people in the  streets while running concentration camps and letting nearly two-hundred  thousand people goddamn die of real life Captain Trips?

    This is not merely conspiracy theory.  It's plastered across every network news site that isn't run by some right-wing nutjob.  The numbers are  irrefutable.  We are now facing a death toll more atrocious than all the wars we've fought in the last 75 years.  This is happening.  Now.  To people you know.  And every time you or your family leave your home, you  risk it happening to you.  And that's if you're lucky enough to have a  home.  At the end of this month, millions more of us may not.

    The president must be removed from office, as well as his vice, his  cabinet, and his abettors in the Senate, the House of Representatives and the judges he has appointed in his term.  He must be made to stand  trial for his perversion of our government and the violation of the highest oath in our land.  He must be imprisoned for genocide until such time as his black  and vile heart ceases to beat, along with every one of his abettors who have undeniably proved themseves as existential threats to our fellow countrymen's lives.   They must be made to answer for this.  And the first step is to take  their offices away from them by voting.  You must do this.  And you must  be ready to take the next step if they try to disenfranchise you of it.

    There are more than one-hundred and ninety-five thousand Americans dead.

    And the death rate here, in the United States is still climbing.

    What's it going to take, folks?  Cos the really, REALLY horrible thing about that grim statistic of 80 seconds?  That was reported on the major US networks on August 5th.  That's month old news.  Cos as bad as I made things out to be in this rant?

    It's worse than that already.

Remember when you owned Harris in the debates?  You thought your place in the scheme of things was pretty clear didn't you?  How were they even comparing this attorney general from California to you, right?  Her corruption record versus your record of very visibly taking on the corps for the 99%?  Please.  

Remember when you falsely accused Senator Sanders of being sexist?  Well, it wasn't you.  It was one of your staffers present in that meeting between the two of you.  THEY tried to smear Sanders.  You just let the dice ride and hoped.  The staffer would fall on their sword for you.  That's what you got taught in Young Republicans, wasn't it?  (You know.  Back when Joe was fighting for segregated schools.)  Except you didn't really deny it either.  And it stuck to you.

Remember how you took your activist record and pirated the Sanders platform?  You took all the bits that mattered at any given moment... then watered down the rest.  Told us that if we wanted drastic change, that we were aiming too high?  You painted yourself as the progressive despite people screaming that you were splitting the progressive caucus.  Your opposite number in that caucus had the authenticity you merely pretended to.  You knew who wrote your marching orders.  It was the very same people you accused of having run a corrupted primary for Secretary Clinton in 2016.  On camera.  The ones who decided and sold the 16 primary to the Clinton campaign outright, and were astonished that the people didn't vote as they were ordered to.  What are ya gonna do with these filthy peasants, am I right?

 

Remember when the idea of a Biden candidacy was a joke?  When he stumbled about on the debate stage, silent for great swathes of time before erupting into a typical gout of word salad on national TV?  Do you remember how he condescended to you?  Remember when Ms. Harris disemboweled him on stage that once?  Ohhh, those were fun times, weren't they?  When you were surrounded by 19 to 21 other also-rans to saturate the field with 2016 Clinton Superdelegates?  You weren't thinking that the committee would fix it for him.  YOUR star was in the ascendant, right?  Yours.  Hell, you even had Mrs. Clinton's vote too.  Strange bedfellow, right?  Well, not that strange.  She got your endorsement when Sanders needed it back in 2016.  The least she could do was help you when you were making the same mistake she did.
 

Was all that debate stage outrage at Joe manufactured, Liz?  Even then, was the plan to get him elected?  Did you know you were being used?  Did you knowingly do it anway?  If so you need an Emmy for that performance.  That was some method acting genius right there if that was the case.

Or were you clueless about the whole DNC strategy; as they blew visions of the presidency in your one ear while preparing their way for the man they actually wanted out of the other side of their faces?  

Remember when I outright BEGGED you to drop your candidacy and cede your delegates to Sanders?  You had a horse in that race.  You had skin in that game.  By all reports, Mr. Biden was the man you got INTO politics to fight against.  The author of the modern enslavement bill and the modern corporate feudalism bill.  (Excuse me, 90's Crime Bill and the elimination of bankruptcy for student borrowers.)  Remember how as soon as you turned your coat for the credit industry lawyer instead of the man fighting for every plank in your platform, people figured you were doing it to sell your delegates for a VP seat?  That was crass, right?  You were just taking your time and making up your mind and making good and sure you'd siphoned off every last bit you could of the progressive vote to ensure the fix was in, right?  Did it taste sour in your mouth at that point?  Were you lowering your expectations as you'd said we needed to?  Okay... so the DNC weren't going to let you be president.  We all knew who they wanted.  The sad thing is that it took you so long to realize it yourself.

They didn't want you, Liz.  

I screamed it in every damn social media board where someone wanted to fight about it.  No way with your past was Wall St. going to let you that near the levers of power.  Not after all the public embarassments you'd dealt them.  You were publicly styled as enough of a progressive that even WITH your watered down platform, the corporations that owned your congressional brethren were never going to let that happen.  Every day you kept up your campaign was more damage done.  While the DNC fanned the flames of how just generally... unpleasant and rude those bernie bros were.  Nevermind that had you not gone low, you likely WOULD have been Sen. Sanders' running mate.  He'd have probably chosen you.  Even after your failed attempt at character assassination.  Aside from Tulsi Gabbard, you were about as close as it got to what he was running on.  It would have been the political thing to do considering your following.

 

You threw that away, Liz.  You stabbed him in the back like the DNC ordered you to.  They dangled a VP seat in front of you that you'd have probably got anyway, and then they had you cede your delegates to a man that was for all intents and purposes, Dead On Arrival.  That very same company man who spurred you to run for office in the first place to fight against.  

If it helps you, in what must be an extremely disappointing moment in your life... remember.  
They never wanted you anyway.  They fooled you.  They took you for a ride.

Take some solace in the fact that if you were that easily led by the nose, goaded, and ordered about by special interests, you wouldn't have really made good presidential material anyway.  I know we have something of an abyssmally low bar right now.  But damn hon... this has got to hurt.

Does it hurt to see it snatched away from you like this and given to a corrupt authoritarian AG in the middle of the biggest worldwide riots against police brutality and incompetence in modern history?  Weren't expecting that, were we, Liz?

I mean I suppose you've got til the end of your current term.  Hell, they may even re-elect you.  People are stupid, apparently.  They keep re-electing McConnell and that pearl-clutching moron from South Carolina.  Whatsisname?  Yertle?

Anyway.  I wouldn't count on it. Memory is much longer nowadays.  And your record is a mere google search away...

You blew the chance for a progressive win at perhaps the most critical point in our country and our world's history, Liz.  You lied on the record.  You went low and let the companies run you.  You sold out the principles your public image was based on.  And in the end, you did it for nothing.  You look like a fool, Liz.  And the progressives know who you stand for now.  And they know it's not them.  They'll never trust you again.  

Never, Liz. 

I wouldn't run again if I were you.  Tho if I were you, I'd be standing on a stage with Sen. Sanders as the his running mate for the presidency right now.  But in your current straits?  When your term is up, you may want to go the 'retiring to spend time with your family' route.

 

Maybe you can write a book.  "OOPSIE!  OR HOW I SOLD OUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN TWO DIFFERENT ELECTIONS FOR THE CORPORATIONS, AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS LOUSY BOOK DEAL."  Maybe you can even get Hill-dawg to write you a forward.  I hear she can be had for a few hundred grand on the corporate speaking circuit.  

Whatever.  Enjoy your coming irrelevance.  May it be brutal, bitter and short.

Damn you for your part in the fix.  Damn you for all of it.  Damn you for having to hold my nose and vote for a doddering old rapey 1%-er vetted by Wall St. and his authoritarian sidekick.  Damn you for giving an actual Nazi traitor that much more of a fighting chance to fix the election to implement his father's most fevered dreams of a fourth reich.
